Etch A Sketch iPad Case

The problem with fancy electronic devices is that people want to steal them. There are how-to guides out there that teach you how to deter thieves by uglifying your digital camera to make it look like an old film camera. But you can’t really ugly up an iPad and make it look like something it’s not. Sure, you can put it in a notepad-style case, but thieves know to look for those. But what if your iPad looked like… an Etch-a-Sketch? Nobody would look twice at an Etch-a-Sketch in the backseat of your car. This iPad case is as functional as it is whimsical. It’s a fully functional, protective iPad case made of impact resistant ABS plastic and molded to look exactly like an Etch-a-Sketch. Know why? It’s made in the same factory that makes the original Etch-a-Sketch toy. You can even run the Etch-a-Sketch app while using your iPad in its Etch-a-Sketch case, which is so much awesome that our heads might explode.

iPad Candyshell Case

iPad Candyshell Case

It amuses us when products are described like they are food when they are not in fact edible. For example, butter colored paint does not taste like butter. Learn from our fail, friends. At any rate, while this iPad case is shiny like the exterior of a candy-coated chocolate bit and soft on the inside, it is not edible in the slightest. The CandyShell iPad Case has a thin, hard-shell coating with soft rubbery interior lining, bezel, and button covers. The flip-back panel for dockability makes CandyShell the tastiest, most functional iPad case around. It works beautifully with your iPad dock or iPad keyboard dock. That’s right – you don’t need to remove the case to dock it! So sweet. And tasty… in a non-food way. We think. *crunch* Yeah, definitely tasty in a non-food way. Ow…

Mini iPhone Microphone

Mini iPhone Microphone

iPhones do many things. Some of these things are done with the greatest of ease, as is demonstrated by those commercials that show a guy on a phone call who is also texting, looking up movie times, finding a restaurant, and probably playing Minesweeper. Heck, the iPhone is so magical it’s probably talking to someone on the other line and keeping them entertained while he’s helping his hapless movie buddy. But there’s one thing iPhones don’t excel at doing and that’s recording audio. This could partially stem from the fact that your iPhone receives sound through the speaker in the bottom. If your big mitts are holding the phone, you’re at least partially blocking the reception, and even if you weren’t, iPhone recorded audio tends to sound a bit like talking through a pillow. The clarity leaves much to be desired. Plug the Mini-Mic into your headphones jack and be prepared to be amazed at the leap in quality! This plug and play microphone is small, lightweight, and portable and requires no battery or wires. Just pop it in, point it in the direction you want to record, and go! The multi-directional adjustment allows you to focus the recording exactly where you need it – inward for narrating, upward for fancy news interviews, or outward if you’re recording video.

Viewstand for iPad

iPad stands and cases are very personal things: everyone likes something a bit different. One friend of ours insists on his iPad being naked when at home, but sheathes it in a case when he travels. Whether you want a lightweight gel skin, a hard case that looks like an Etch-a-Sketch, or a case that includes a keyboard, it’s totally up to you and what you like best. But if you like the sleek aluminum style typical of Apple products, you’re going to want to consider the Viewstand. The Viewstand has a brushed aluminum exterior that reminds us a lot of our Macbooks. It’s tall and wide, perfect for someone who wants a durable stand to hold up their iPad to use as a cookbook in the kitchen or a media remote in the living room. It operates in four configurations: horizontal reading, horizontal writing, vertical reading, and vertical writing. All buttons and ports are accessible when your iPad is nestled in the Viewstand, so you can charge it up or connect your headphones or other peripherals easily.
