It only takes a few minutes for someone to install spy cell phone software on your cell phone. Once they do, they’ll be able to listen to your live conversations, read your text messages, view photos on your phone, find out who called you and the calls you’ve placed, and also track your every move via GPS.

This is not science fiction, it’s real and can happen to anyone who is not careful. Most mobile spyware is almost impossible to detect, but there are a few signs that can tip you off if you happen to have it on your phone.

Here are five of the most common signs that you might have cellphone spyware installed on your phone.

1) Have you kept your phone with you at all times? There is absolutely no way to install commercial cell phone spyware without physical access to your phone. If you are 100% sure nobody has used your mobile, then the odds of your phone having spyware on it is slim. Keep in mind that it only takes a few minutes for someone to quickly install cell spyware, so even if you let someone borrow your phone to make a quick call, download the latest new ringtone, game, or wallpaper, then you could be at risk.

2) Unusually High Bill? Have you recently started to see an increase in your cellular bills? Or perhaps you’ve been shocked to suddenly see an unusually large bill? Spyphone software requires a data connection (such as GPRS) to transfer the data that has been secretly recorded. If you’e not the kind of person who enjoys surfing the net on their phone, or frequently downloads ring tones, and games, then sudden changes in your bill, specically due to increased data usage, is a good sign that your cellphone could be infected.

3) Battery Drain? Have you been grabbing your cellphone’s charger more than usual? Cell spy software runs continuously in the background, recording events such as incoming/outgoing text messages, call history, and GPS location. It then uploads the logs to a secure remote server so the person who installed the spyware can access the logs and view everything recorded. All of this takes a bit of juice to make happen, so if you suddenly see a drop in your battery life, then it could also be a sign you have cell phone spyware on your phone.

4) Shut Down Problems? If you try to shut down your cellphone and it doesn’t respond, then this could also be another indication that your mobile has spyware on it. Because these spy apps continuously runs in the background, they occasionally cause problems when a person attempts to shut the device down. Think of when you use Windows. I’m sure you can remember several instances where you tried to shut down your computer, but ran into problems because another program wouldn’t respond. The same thing periodically occurs on devices that have cell spyware software installed.

5) Check Your Icons! Have you recently started to see strange new icons on your phone? Or does the GPRS indicator icon suddenly appear for no reason? Remember, cell phone spyware requires a data connection, and when this happens, most cell phones will briefly show an icon that indicates a connection is occurring.

So what can you do if you think you have cell phone spyware on your phone? The only way to completely remove the spy phone software, is to reinstall the operating system. This can be done at the place of purchase. Just take it in and tell them that you think someone has installed spyware on your phone, and then they’ll proceed to reinstall the OS.

There also free programs online that claim to detect and remove cell phone spyware, but the only way to be 100% sure, is to get your phone wiped, and then get a fresh install of the OS. Once you are sure that your phone is spyware free, you can do simple things to ensure it stays that way. Make sure that you keep it close to you at all times, use a phone lock that requires a PIN number, and closely monitor your cell phone for any unusual behavior.

If you’re tired of having the same small screen monitor, maybe it’s time you upgraded to a widescreen computer monitor. Not only will be having a larger screen allow you to have more items open on your desktop; it will also allow you to enjoy videogames and movies like never before. Let’s look at some of the things you’ll need to consider while shopping for your new widescreen monitor.

Before you start shopping for your new monitor, it would be advised for you to have a budget in mind. By knowing how much you are willing to spend, you will be able to limit the number of monitors you’ll have to consider. Keep in mind that you could spend anywhere from $149 to $400 on a monitor, depending on what you want. Some monitors come with speakers, which can have inferior sound when compared to other speakers. Make sure you’re not buying a monitor with speakers.

The next recommendation would be to shop locally so you can visually inspect each monitor that you are interested in purchasing. This will allow you to actually see the monitor in person, even if you are born to actually do your purchasing online. You will be able to see the actual screen resolution which is something you cannot do online.

Monitors will come in different screen resolutions. You must take this into consideration, because it will affect the visual appeal of each model. Checking the specs on each will let you know if the monitor has a resolution of 1280×1024 or 1280×960. As you can see there is a difference in those two numbers. The higher resolution monitor will look better, and would be the choice of an informed consumer.

Compatibility with your computer is a very big issue. Notably, the video card you currently have installed may not work with your new monitor. Only the newer video cards will accept the DVI type connector which is used by most of the new widescreen monitors. You may have to upgrade your video card in order to use a widescreen monitor, so it is best if you know this before you bring it home.

When it comes to computer electronics, the consumer is well advised to do some Internet research on each component before purchase. After you have considered your options and decided on a couple of monitors you like, do an online search for consumer reviews. By doing this, you will be sure you are buying a widescreen computer monitor which has been used and appreciated by others. It will also help you avoid purchasing a monitor which has been proven to be a lemon.

Pioneer release the first ever 12x Blu-ray drives

Blu-ray technology has, without doubt, revolutionized the way we experience movies and games. With its high-power definitions, storage, and quality of video, it has left viewers spellbound and dumbstruck. Although it was thought that this technology would never become affordable, with the advent of Blu-ray enabled PS3s all over the globe, and simultaneous innovations in the field, Blu-ray is now within reach for most tech-loving people.

Where there is a new disc type, there has to be a new disc writer. Pioneer has now come out with the BDR-205. This Blu Ray Disc Computer Writer is supposed to be the fasted around – with its 12x speed capacities leaving the older 8x versions far behind.

With this new release, Pioneer has leaped forward in the market of computer hardware, and has also made a landmark contribution to computer technology in general. Steve Cohn at the Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. (he is the director of the Optical Sales Dept.) has this to say:

“The BDR-205 drive represents our ongoing efforts to combine Pioneer’s engineering expertise with advanced technologies, and our next generation Blu-ray Disc writer is a great example of our no-compromise approach to optical disc product development. We are bringing to market the fastest Blu-ray Disc writer to date, and it is just one of the many ’firsts’ that have come to define Pioneer’s 30-year heritage in optical disc innovation and leadership.”

Technical specifications for the BDR-205 12x Blu-ray Burner include:

  • Up to 12x writing speed on BD-R & BD-R DL media
  • Write up to 50Gbytes on one BD-R DL disc (equal to 10 single layer DVDs)
  • Serial ATA (SATA) Interface

Short, sweet and packs a power punch with the “50GB write limit” criteria! In fact, with the BDR-205, Pioneer has unleashed a new high in terms of our limits of storing and writing on portable discs. Considering that HD movies and games need a huge amount of information to look and sound good, this piece of engineering will make HD-movies more common than ever before. Moreover, the BDR-205 is equipped with a low vibration mechanism (LVM) – a design that is primed to maintain a high write accuracy so that people who need to write huge amounts of sensitive and critical data on Blu-ray discs can rely on the BDR-205 not to let them down.

And it’s not just the movies, the BDR -205 will be useful to anyone who needs a heavy-duty portable disc, and needs to write data on it – fast. This writer drive will be soon be the norm on all desktops in institutions and corporates first, and will then slowly work its way to home PCs within a few years.

HD movies consist of a lot of data; with any new feature film, there are going to be tens of gigabytes of video, sound, and system information. If you’re a computer builder, or if you are planning on purchasing the drive yourself, keep in mind that you could really use a spacious hard drive to compliment the BDR-205 burner. Although 12x is an amazing speed for reading and writing Blu-ray disks, the drive is also able to process DVD’s at a speed of 16x and a solid 40x when processing media CDs.

Pioneer stayed true to its name with the new BDR-205 model; it’s the first and the fastest Blu-ray drive of its kind. The future is here – right now – with the BDR-205. It is the most silent of all drives around – something that is surprising, as you would wonder if it’s really writing 50GB worth of data so fast and so quietly. Moreover, note that this drive not only has the fastest write speeds, it also reads just as fast – ranging from a 40x reading speed for a CD to a 8x read speed for a Blu-ray disc. Overall, this drive is a  must have for those who want to be at the cutting edge of technology, as well as those who need to work with obscene data sizes.

Pioneer is sure to bring on other new innovations similar to this new unit. The BDR-205 will lead the way for other new “super” drives like it, that will revolutionize technology right before our eyes.

The Top five Reasons Why each DSi and DSi XL Owner Should Own an R4i Card from R4iShop.com

The R4 flash card has been evolving swiftly over the past few years and is now one of the most complicated DSi / DSi XL adaptor cards on the market.  Folks who want to Buy R4 DS for DSi XL are not just smart : they are super smart.  This is as the R4i card offers so much additional functionality for it’s price it’s actually pretty crazy.

Here are our top five reasons why we think each DS owner should own an R4i for DSi or R4i for DSi XL :

 one.  Easy to set up
at first rather complicated, the R4 DS has developed from a puzzling and complex bit of hardware into the straightforward to set up R4i for DSi and DSi XL.
You simply install the R4i firmware and software from the R4i web site onto the microSD memory card, plug the microSD memory card into the little slot in the R4i card and then simply put the R4 adaptor into the Nintendo DS, DSi or DSi XL as though it is a regular game.

 two.  Compatible with DSi XL
The R4i XL is tested as compatible with the just released DSi XL as well as the original DSi.  For owners of the older DS : the first R4 card still works perfectly fine.
Also available is the DSTTi : which can also be run on a DSi or DSi XL hand held console.
A lot of rumours have been wafting around the internet that using an R4i SDHC might break your DSi or DSi XL console.  This is a total fallacy : the R4i does not install anything onto the DSi or DSi XL device and has as much likelihood of bricking a DSi as a standard DSi game would.

 3.  Legality
The R4i card itself is not against the law : however downloading and using it to run pirated games definitely is.
The card is basically a mini external hard-drive for your Nintendo DSi console.  There’s a blooming Homebrew games community developing their own games.  The R4i and other DSi flash cards are an important part of this development and testing process.
Making all R4i adaptors illegal to buy would be like banning folk from using computers because they are really capable of downloading copyrighted music.
 R4 cards don’t pirate Nintendo’s games : folk do.

 4.  Great value
The price to buy R4 card for DSi or DSi XL has dropped rapidly as they are being mass produced using more effective manufacturing processes.
The R4i is now amazing value , available with an included high capacity branded SDHC memory card for only £20.
Buy R4i DSi XL from R4ishop.com.

 five.  Micro SDHC compatible
The R4i supports high capacity SDHC memory cards ( now available up to great 32gb capacity.  )
R4i DSi owners can use this huge memory card capacity to store their music collection, flicks, homebrew games and photographs on their R4i card for DSi or DSi XL console.

To conclude : we actually do believe every DSi owner should own an R4i to open the concealed potential of their DSi and DSi XL console.
